Don Priebe
President / Hind Sight Inc.
In the mid 90s, I set out to develop a sighting system that was accurate and would not fail me during low light hunting conditions. This led to the diagonal, open center, glow in the dark pointers that define a tiny aperture. This concept, allowed me to accurately take aim during all lighting conditions. After making a prototype for myself, my kill ratio with bow and arrow sky rocketed and after three years of testing, I applied for, and received a patent, and started manufacturing my idea.
The HIND SIGHT was born!
Some unique features of our dual sighting systems is that we designed them so that the front sight pin housing and the rear sight ring interact with one another. When aligned correctly and no torque is present, the rings become one. If your eye is not correctly positioned or if you torque the riser, your sights will give you instant feedback. This simple feature is critical when taking awkward shots from tree stands when you may only have one opportunity to get the job done. The image on the right features the Ghost Rider in perfect alignment and also when bow torque is present. Because our sights are attached to opposite sides of the riser, if you torque the bow, you also torque the sights. The glow in the dark ring on the face of the pin housing will become visible when misaligned.
Our Dead Ringer and Eclipse models offer the same view when taking aim. The glow in the dark ring on the pin housing will Eclipse the rear sight ring when in perfect alignment. When not in the correct hold, your sights will become misaligned. This feature ensures that you hold the bow correctly each and every shot.
